Thanksgiving and Christmas Hope Baskets

Thanksgiving and Christmas Hope Baskets

Hope in Turbulent Times

For many Californians, celebrating with a Thanksgiving dinner is an extraordinary challenge. The number of homeless students in San Bernardino County has skyrocketed in recent years and shows few signs of slowing down. In the 2009-10 school year there were 22,658 children on the streets, living in motels or other difficult circumstances, compared to 18,940 during the 2008-09 school year.

KidCare’s International's Food Bank receives regular calls from schools, families and homeless individuals asking for emergency food assistance. Some people calling say they have gone for days without food.

Many children and their families who end up living on the streets, can be found rummaging through trash cans of restaurants for their next meal.

KidCare International's Thanksgiving and Christmas Hope Baskets encourage families to celebrate these special holidays by giving Thanksgiving and Christmas Hope Baskets. Our goal is 500 families will receive a box of ingredients for a complete Thanksgiving or Christmas dinner for a family of four.

With the help of businesses and schools holding canned food drives and additional donations to purchase, turkeys, dinner rolls and pies, our Hope Baskets goals will bless many families. .

Your donation of $25 will help KidCare reach its goal of 500 Hope Baskets.

Your help with is greatly appreciated!

Holy Eucharist

Sunday, February 12, 9:00 AM - 10:00 AM

Worship in the Episcopal Church rests on scripture and the traditions of the elegant language of the Book of Common Prayer. While the worship might seem more formal than spontaneous, we reliably read scripture every time we worship together, and we follow the liturgy that has stood the test of time. Our worship is in letting the liturgy carry us along into a deeper spiritual awareness and connection with God.
