We believe... you can change the world - one child at a time.

Sponsor a Child for $30.00 a month and bring hope and strength to a child in need. A child of your choice will receive help with their specific need for: food, clothing, books, and educational fees.

Sponsor a ChildKidCare International works with children in schools & orphanages in Russia, Tanzania, South Africa, and Sri Lanka - children who are uncertain of their next meal, spend cold nights on a street looking for shelter, and want a better tomorrow but can't pay the tuition/uniform/book fees for a basic public education to get to their dream.

Your sponsorship impacts a life with the positive message that someone cares in a world that seems hopeless to a desperate child.

Sponsor a ChildSponsors make a 3, 5, or 10 year commitment to sponsor a specific child for $30 per month. This child depends upon their sponsor to honor their commitment. Sponsors will receive a picture of the child yearly, enjoy periodic correspondence with them regarding their progress, and receive quarterly donation reports.Sponsor a Child

Hope for Hunger

We believe... hope grows where basic needs are met.

Over 33 million children in Africa are at risk of starvation.

Millions go to bed hungry every night.

Hope for HungerKidCare International feeds hungry children daily in Africa and the United States through a carefully monitored daily feeding program. We hand-deliver food to orphanages to ensure the quality of the children's diet.

Children who formerly ran away from orphanages because they could find better food on the streets are now living and thriving within the safe environment. Orphanage director Simon Ponga of Cheswea Orphanage in Arusha, Tanzania, reports the children, (and his staff) are healthier because their diet now includes chicken, fruit, and vegetables.

Hope for HungerYour generous gift today can send life-saving food and other aid to hungry children and their families in Africa.

Please give generously today.

We believe... change begins with the action of one.

Help Provide a Refuge for Orphans and Abandoned Children for $30 a month.

Orphanage Support

  • A child loses a parent to an AIDS-related illness every 14 seconds.
  • Devastated by grief and the loss of their parents, children are exposed to extreme poverty. KidCare International provides daily food, shelter, education and comfort to AIDS orphans and other vulnerable children.
  • Because orphanages are not listed as best practices in the National Plan of many the countries in which we work, these are children at the mercy of small bits of funding. Plainly speaking, they have fallen through the bureaucratic grant funding cracks and depend on generosity of organizations like KidCare International who will look past unrealistic governmental policies and into their eyes.
  • These children exist, they are not going away, and their numbers are growing.
  • Over 14 million children have lost one or both parents to AIDS. The numbers are predicted to double in 10 years if there isn’t a solution.

Orphanage SupportGive generously and help orphans rescued from streets, garbage bins, sewage pits, or abandoned on the doorstep. These overlooked, thrown away children are precious. Your gift will provide food, shelter and educational opportunities for orphans in South Africa, Tanzania and Russia on a monthly basis. Orphanages meeting the KidCare International criteria know they can count on ongoing support. $30 a month provides food and clothing for a child in an orphanage for one month.

Cow, Chicken, Garden Projects

We believe... in providing a hope and a future.

One of the most creative but logical and time-proven ways to provide food and healthy diet for vulnerable children in Africa is the cow, chicken, and garden projects. The idea is to give a source of food while teaching children life-sustaining ethics rather than short-term relief.

While some orphanages and care centers are located in the city are not conducive to this type of enterprise, others are ideally situated in rural sites perfect for agricultural endeavors.

With the Cow Project, Chicken Project, and Garden Project, the children learn basic techniques and responsibilities of farming and free enterprise. After the dietary needs of the children are met, excess milk, eggs, poultry, and vegetables are sold at the marketplace, offering additional training and experience in micro-business and basic financing.

COW PROJECT:

Cow ProjectA heifer calf can be purchased for $400 to $650 and within a year can be generating a modest supply of dairy commodities.

It costs approximately $30 dollars a month for maintenance of the animal. You may make a one-time donation to purchase a dairy cow or donate monthly to cover feeding and care of the animal.

  • Donate $400 to purchase a dairy cow.
  • Donate $30 a month for food and other supplies for the dairy cow.

CHICKEN PROJECT:

Hatchling baby chicks purchased for under a dollar can be raised and sold for a profit along with providing poultry needs for the children.

  • Donate $100 to purchase a Chicken Project with 100 chickens for an orphanage or poor family.

GARDEN PROJECT:

Garden ProjectLand is the greatest problem with the orphanages in Africa. Every orphanage has a desire to obtain land on the outskirts of the city to have a place to provide sustaining food for their children. An acre of land with reasonable water supply costs about $5,000. Seed and supplies for an acre of land for one year cost about $200.

  • Donate $5000 for an acre of land.
  • Donate $240 for seed and supplies for an acre of land for one year.
  • Donate $20 a month for garden seed and supplies.
